How is the curriculum kept current? How are new classes added?
Curricula are kept current by following the standards of practice for each age group, new classes are added based on student interest and best practices. Review happens at least every five years. More information by age level can be found here.
Do students have to take NJSLA (formerly PARCC)?
The New Jersey Department of Education has changed the name of the assessment formerly known as PARCC to the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) in 2018 for spring 2019 testing. The new test has fewer questions and will take less time to administer. The administration and staff at Randolph see value in students taking the NJSLA assessment. The performance data from standardized assessments provide feedback on how well the curriculum is designed and aligned to state standards.
