The new facility project on Bauer Field was approved as part of the 2018 referendum. In December 2019, blasting for the new facility project began. Upon completion of the blasting work, a bid was awarded to a general contractor in April 2020. We are approaching the one-year mark of construction with an anticipated completion this summer.
Members of the district’s leadership team toured the site of the new facility yesterday. The frame of the building is up and the roof is scheduled to be put in by the end of April. Once the roof is in place, this will increase the amount of inside work that can be completed. On the lower level of the new facility project, there will be four total team locker rooms, team restrooms, public restrooms, a concession stand, and storage for both athletics and marching band. The upstairs level will include a restroom, a multipurpose space, and a weight room.
The district is excited to see the progress that has been made, and is grateful to the Randolph community for their support of the referendum which made this project possible.
