RHS Ranked in the Top 10% of High Schools Nationally for 2020

US News has once again recognized Randolph High School as one of the most prestigious schools in the country ranking RHS in the top 10% of high schools nationally in 2020. More than 17,000 public schools were surveyed and evaluated based on their college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate. RHS scored an impressive 90.2 overall with distinguished excellence in all six of these categories. We are grateful to be recognized for our students’ performance as it is indicative of the success our students’ will have personally and professionally later in life.

“We are pleased as a school district to be recognized again as a “Best High School” in the United States. There are over 24,000 public high schools in the country and being in the top 10% of the more than 17,000 that were ranked by U.S. News is impressive. Our teachers, students, and the parents that support the learning that takes place every day deserve all the credit. While we know that no one ranking system can fully capture all the great programs and accomplishments that take place in a large school system like Randolph, we do value external affirmation about the quality of our schools. While U.S. News does include specific criteria over others in their ranking system, the academic data that makes up a large part of the ranking is an important part of our schools. There is a great deal of data and information that is ultimately not included to determine this “best of” list and we know the programs and classes omitted as part of the calculations are still important. As always, we are very proud of our school district and the accomplishments of our students.”
