Restroom Renvoations
Randolph Township Schools intends to fully renovate approximately 29 restrooms districtwide, with special projects being completed at Shongum Elementary and Randolph High School as part of this plan. In all school buildings, every renovated restroom will be updated with touchless faucets and toilets to eliminate physical contact and promote better hygiene and cleanliness.
At Shongum, a technology office is currently located by the boys' bathroom and a faculty workspace is across the hall by the girls' bathroom. The plans to relocate the girls' bathroom to the same side as the boys' bathroom. The existing faculty room and girls' bathroom would be converted to a large instructional space. The technology office will be relocated, and a new faculty room was created in the summer of 2024 which was relocated.
At Randolph High School, extensive work will be completed in the Commons to better accommodate students, staff, and visitors. The existing faculty bathrooms will be converted to specifically accommodate the RISE program for students with multiple disabilities. The faculty restrooms will be relocated to the existing girls and boys' restrooms areas in the Commons. By the entrance of the 9/11 and Holocaust Memorial, the restroom spaces there will be reimagined to include an estimate of 8 separate single restrooms.
