Randolph Learning Community,

The New Jersey Department of Education shared the Centers for Disease Control’s newly issued Operational Guidance for K-12 Schools on August 12, 2022. These guidelines were updated to the district’s website as new information was provided and can be accessed below:

The district reviewed the new guidance with the Randolph Health Department to determine next steps for the 2022 – 2023 school year. Based on the newly issued guidance, the Randolph Health Department and school nurses will no longer actively contact trace. As a result of these changes, cases will no longer be compiled or reported weekly on the district’s website. Randolph Township Schools will follow the CDC’s Guidelines for all reported cases of COVID-19, as well as the New Jersey Department of Health’s Guidelines for the Control of Outbreaks in School and Child Care Settings:

If someone notifies the district they test positive, regardless of vaccination status, the student or staff member should stay home for at least 5 full days after the onset of symptoms or if asymptomatic after the positive test. Upon return to school, the individual will be required to mask for an additional 5 days. Although not mandated, please reference the following mask wearing guidelines for individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19:
