    Levels A and B SOC 210 and 200 Full Year Grade 10
    United States History I is a required course for all grade ten students and is the first half of a two year United States History program that meets the New Jersey State graduation requirement for two years of United States History. This course begins with the colonization of the Americas, moves through the Revolutionary and Early National Period, and then traces the history of the United States through the Gilded Age. Students will develop understanding of the geographic, economic, political, social and cultural realities that shaped the history of the United States. 



    SOC 885 Semester Grades 11, 12

    A Social History of the U. S. in the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s
    The Critical Years is an interdisciplinary course which focuses on the study of three decades of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. Students explore the interconnections of all aspects of American culture during those turbulent times; social and political developments, literature, art and architecture, music, television, films, theater, and pop culture. Student participation in cooperative learning group activities is at the core of class organization.
