Elementary Education is the Foundation for Long Term Student Success and Achievement
Randolph Township Schools' four elementary schools foster positive and safe learning environments for all students. Social and emotional learning plays an integral role in elementary education and is essential for the education of the whole child. Our dedicated, innovative and passionate teachers weave experiences into the school day to support the acquisition and application of the knowledge, skills and attitudes that help students thrive. Students are given the resources they need to develop healthy identities, manage emotions, achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others and make responsible and caring decisions. Student voice and choice are cornerstones of our student-centered classrooms. We believe in fostering students' natural curiosity so they feel connected to and excited about learning. Our instructional models offer rigorous opportunities for students to design and create through hands-on, authentic learning experiences that help students to feel empowered and thus, more likely to transfer their learning into real world experiences. By focusing on building learning structures that support students in growing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in our elementary classrooms, we create a foundation for success that will follow students into middle school, high school and post-graduation. Elementary Education is the foundation for a student's ability to one day excel in a complex, interconnected and changing world.
