Advanced Placement

  • Advanced Placement

In SY 2020-2021, RHS will offer thirty-three AP courses across all departments. A list can be found in the curriculum handbook tab.

When enrolled in an AP course, students complete college-level coursework while in high school demonstrating to college admission officers that they have sought out an educational experience that is rigorous and prepares them for success in college and beyond.

Each May, AP students take the corresponding AP exams and performing well on these assessments can mean much more than the successful completion of an AP course. Most colleges and universities accept successful AP exam scores for credit, advanced placement, or both. Further, research consistently shows that students who are successful in AP typically experience greater academic success in college than those who do not participate in AP.

    AP Exams

For the 2021 AP exams, students at Randolph High School will be registering online. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.

This year each AP exam costs $99.00 (The AP Seminar and AP Research fee is $147 and AP Chinese is $122). Randolph High School desires that every student be able to take their AP exams. Students requiring financial assistance should contact Mrs. Nicole Landers in the School Counseling office to learn more.

Online Regular Exam registration will begin on Friday, September 18, 2020 12:00 AM and end on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 11:59 PM.

Online Late Registration will have an additional $10 fee per exam, will begin on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 12:00 AM and end on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 11:59 PM.

In order to register, students MUST click on the link provided on the school website or visit Total Registration to register. To complete registration, students must answer all of the required questions. We know that parents may desire to register their students for exams. We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. Students who have taken an AP in previous years, will use the same account.
