Summer Gardening Camp at Center Grove Elementary School

The Randolph Community School is excited to offer its Summer Gardening Camp again in August 2018! The camp was such a success last summer that we are going to expand it to three weeks: August 13-17, 20-24 and 27-31 in the Center Grove garden and cafeteria.

Children entering grades 2-5 in the fall can spend a half or full day learning about gardening, starting seeds, harvesting, greenhouse education, canning, weeding, watering, plant studies, composting, soil analysis and even a STEM challenge.

The program will be offered in one-week half-day morning or in one-week full-day sessions.

The cost is $125 for a one-week half-day session or $250 for a one-week full-day session which includes a half hour break for lunch. Students should bring a bagged lunch and drink with them. Water bottles are also recommended since the children will be gardening outside.

Morning sessions run 9 a.m. to noon while the full-day session runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students may go on trips to local nature preserves, gardens or aboretums.
